Anomaly

(Posting early for a placeholder with some of the basic concept(s). Will come back to elaborate and polish up.)

The people I most admire in the Bible were anomalies. Enoch was an anomaly. Noah was an anomaly. Abraham was an anomaly. Job was an anomaly. Joseph was an anomaly. Moses was an anomaly. David was an anomaly. Daniel was an anomaly. John the Baptist was an anomaly. And, of course, Jesus Himself was the Magna Anomalia” to this world system.

The idea is not eccentricity for eccentricity’s sake, nor justification for being anti-social or weird. But the reality is that a true fidelity to the Word and Spirit of God will distinctly set you apart from those around you. Even from other Christians who are trying their best. The world system is that strong and pervasive.
